QVA Inducts its 22 Life Member


Friday 15th January 2016 with the support from all associations as part of the Qld Vigoro executive committee we induct our 22 life member. 

Life Membership is bestowed on club members who have made tireless contributions at all levels of the game for many years.  This award recognizes outstanding leadership and committed service to Qld Vigoro Association. 


She was introduced to Vigoro at the tender young age of 5, representing her association since the age of 9 and her State since the age of 16, giving her time to all levels of the game including local club, regional association, state and national events.

At national level, she has been a member of the Qld Executive Committee since 2004, holding the position of secretary.

During her career, she has been a member of the Queensland representative contingent for 25 years, she is the current State 1 captain a position she has held for the past 5 years. She has held many positions for Ipswich Vigoro Association over her 36 years from Assistant Secretary, Secretary, Selector, Canteen Convener this position she still currently holds.  She is also one of the 2 Co-coordinators ruining the Midgy Vigsy and Junior Expo programs at Ipswich. 

She has been captain & vice-captain of several Ipswich teams over the years. She has been a Club & Ipswich Junior team coach for many and is currently the Ipswich under 18 Coach.  This lady is a Life Member of Ipswich Vigoro Association. 

Rachel’s commitment and dedication to the sport of vigoro is phenomenal.  She has given thousands of hours not just to the game but to the people involved. 

It gives me great pleasure to induct Rachel Mary Savage with Life Membership of Queensland Vigoro Association.
